November 27 vs. The Howard School
Tuesday, November 27th, our Middle School Boys Basketball team traveled to the Howard School to take on the Hawks. The opening quarter saw a tightly contested match, with some nervousness showing on offense and defense with numerous turnovers. There was fine defensive contributions from Ethan Reisman, Rickey Witmer-Garris, Tommy Johnson, and Jeff Williams. In the second period, the defensive intensity picked up which lead to some scoring opportunities as AJ Detmar, AJ Farrar, and Evan Robertson took full advantage of the defensive stops with baskets. We went into the half leading 20 to 12.
The second half saw the same defensive intensity being lead by Griffin Boven, Benjamin Hartman, Evan Patterson, Alex Elliott, Anthony Larrieux and Daniel Duke. This pressure lead to more easy baskets as the third period ended with the Cougars leading 28 to 20.The fourth period saw the same outstanding efforts by Hunter Colville, David Bacso, Michael Kurland, Riley McCormick, Kent Chambers, and James Dorsey as the team finished strong with a 41 to 23 victory.
