November 27 Vs. The Howard School

On Tuesday the Middle School Girls Basketball team traveled to The Howard School. The opening half did not be reflect their hard work as Howard tried to finish them off early with a commanding 12 to 0 lead. In the second quarter, the defense came together while Ava Culter and Roxanna Javid picked up their first two points each as a Cougar.  From there, Stephanie Swetmon went on a tear and put them back in the game with 8 points, pulling the game within reach by a score of 14-12.  Stephanie Swetmon dropped two more points, but Howard held their ground and escaped with a hard fought victory, 20-14.  All the girls played extremely well and supported each other greatly. They were great ambassadors, and we are very proud of them.  I want to thank all the parents and relatives for their support.  I can?t remember a game where we had more spectators than the home team.

Please congratulate the following team members for their tremendous effort and support for each other.  Team Captain Stephanie Swetmon, Asst Captains Abby Meyer and Ava Cutler and team members Sara Jeffs, Roxanna Javid, Anna Cuviello, Jillian Wright, Janet Keller, Morgan Carrig, Lauren Williams, Caitlin Garner, Lynn Berbach, Gailey Reedy and Rebecca Custer.
