Key Annual Fund
The Key Annual Fund bridges the gap between what tuition covers and the actual cost of operating the school at the level our students deserve. Annual Giving is the single most important source of non-tuition income for The Cottage School.
The goal of the Key Annual Fund is to build a solid annual giving program that will provide a critical ten percent of the School’s operating budget, enabling TCS to enhance its programs and keep tuition increases minimal. Unrestricted gifts to the Key Annual Fund support the operating budget and directly and immediately benefit each student, each staff member, and each program offered as part of The Cottage School curriculum.
The Key Annual Fund is the single most critical fundraising program for The Cottage School. In addition to the financial benefits the school receives from a gift to the Key Annual Fund, participation, at any level is the single strongest factor considered by private and corporate foundations when deciding upon granting funding requests. Many foundations will not consider a grant proposal if the organization has not achieved 100 percent participation in their Annual Fund by Board, staff, and key stakeholders (in a school’s case, parents).
Gifts of all sizes really do make a difference because their collective impact is enormous. The Key Annual Fund Drive kicks off in August of every year, and gifts and pledges can be made from August through May. Pledges must be fulfilled by May 31 to be counted in the total.
Any gift to The Key Annual Fund will make a difference!
